Weather: Bright and mild

A pretty nice day weather-wise, considering it was the middle of January. Once again my preferred area for collecting, opposite the 'Glen', was largely buried under silt. The place has changed beyond recognition this last year.
So, I moved my attention westward to the area between the 'Rand' and the 'Stream' again. I've long known that there are fossil finds to be had close to the promenade, at the edge of the pebble beach. But I've now discovered that, if you walk out from this area to the water's edge at low tide, you can find better spots. Not massive quantities but decent nonetheless.
If you want to try repeating the trick, the details are as follows: After leaving the car park at the end of Reculver Drive, go down the concrete ramp as usual to the promenade. At the bottom, turn left (towards Herne Bay) ignoring the nearby ramp down to the beach, and walk to the first set of concrete stairs. Go down them and cross the wooden groyne immediately to the west. Do the same for the next 3 groynes, then turn towards the sea, you should see quite a few sizeable slabs at the water's edge at low tide. Look for the usual pebble patches there. Good luck and tell me how you do!
