Weather: Light Cloud and cool, little wind
Number of finds: 130
Arrived about 1 hour before low tide and the fossil bearing beds were already exposed. When I got to them, I found they didn’t seem to be covered with as much silt/mud as on some previous visits. This and the bright conditions made collecting ideal. I found stuff at a really good rate. After an hour or so the sun came out and I wished I could spend all day there. Sadly, the tide turned and I only had another 45 minutes before the sea reclaimed it’s treasures.
Finds included 85 x S.macrota (11 complete), 25 x C.hopei, 14 x P.rutoti (1 complete), a small Otodus (mackerel shark) lateral tooth (without a root), and 2 partial Myliobatis (Eagle Ray) crushing palettes.
