Weather: Foggy, mild, and windless
Number of fossil finds: 77
I arrived to find the beach shrouded in fog. Very eerie. As the sea seemed reluctant to go out and I didn't want get unwittingly cut off by the tide, I decided to stay close to shore. Fortunately, there are some useful, large fossil hunting spots just beyond the pebble part of the beach. So I just methodically worked my way across them. Very weird being able to hear the sea but not being able to see it.
Finds: 50 x Striatolamia macrota (7 complete); 22 Carcharias hopei; 4 Palaeohypotodus rutoti; 1 eagle ray partial palette.
